Construction water treatment design and set-up

Pure Polymer Solutions was contracted to manage and remediate all ground and storm water produced from a construction project in the Orlando area. The allowable discharge limit was set by the regulatory agency at 34 NTU’s.

Dewatering the site by means of a sock drain and wellpoint system, the produced ground water was unreadable (greater than 4000 NTU). By utilizing a plant based polymer blend, we were able to treat the water cost effectively and operate well below the permitted conditions. The average discharge was 11 NTU’s.

This project also allowed us to introduce our Water Quality Management System. This system allows us to monitor your site 24/7 by taking NTU samples every 15 minutes.

Powered by a 12 volt battery and solar panel, this allows our systems to be deployed almost anywhere. All the data is recorded and compiled on a graph and spreadsheet for easy record keeping and reporting.
